Even if you weren’t born in the 1980s or 1990s, it’s almost impossible not to know who Maria da Graça Xuxa Meneguel is, or just Xuxa . The “Rainha dos Baixinhos” owns the largest Ibero-American children’s entertainment empire.
Xuxa is a presenter, actress, singer, businesswoman, philanthropist and former model. Today, she uses her voice and influence to speak out about the causes she believes in and champions. And of course, it’s still very relevant.
Precisely why the things she does make news in the country. Rainha dos Baixinhos was born on March 27, 1963 in Santa Rosa, in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, and had not returned to her hometown for 20 years.
But that reality has changed. Last Friday, Xuxa used her Instagram to share with her fans the visit she made to Santa Rosa, where she lived until she was seven years old.
Of course, because it was her hometown and she hadn’t been back there for so long, the Rainha dos Baixinhos was very excited about her return to the place nicknamed “Terra da Xuxa”. Along with her, her daughter Sasha and her son-in-law João Figueiredo were on this visit.
“Leaving Santa Rosa with a peaceful soul and a heart full of love. Thank you to my people, my family. Sorry I didn’t grab you like I wanted, this pandemic is pruning me a lot. Feel hugged by me. And thank you very much”, wrote Xuxa on her Instagram.
The most interesting thing is that the house where Xuxa lived was built in 1957 and is still standing today. In the 2000s the house was restored and currently serves as a museum of the presenter’s life. There are panels and costumes provided by Xuxa Produções.
Although the house has been restored, the property retains the same essence as when Xuxa lived there. The house still has its tiled floor outside and wood inside.
Other things that can be seen inside the presenter’s house are old paintings and some of the original furniture from the time. In addition, the front of the house also remains the same. It is all yellow with green windows and blue accents.
